Windows 7 disable aero

Then I remembered that windows aero interface applies some kind of vertical sync to games played in windowed mode and I thought maybe that's what's acting up here. I thought that it was hardware limited but it was suspicious for me that it was very stable 30 fps, almost like it's synced for purpose to half my monitor's refreshed rate. It worked but the FPS was capped at around 30 fps. I tried out WoW on virtual desktop in VR on full screen windowed mode. Not sure if this is common knowledge or not but posting just in case.

Will try to keep this as brief as possible.
